About Imo
I have recently graduated with a 2:1 in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Bristol.
My ability to succeed in physics was a result of a deep love for the subject stemming from a fascination in space. I appreciate how this enthusiasm was encouraged by passionate teachers, and I have been inspired to pass this on.
The understanding I have now for physics and maths comes from years of struggling! This has given me an empathy and patience with those that I teach, as I am familiar with the frustration these subjects bring but also methods for navigating through it.
I work part-time at Royal Observatory Greenwich as an Observatory Explainer where I enjoy answering questions and chatting about space with families.
I also have experience as an assistant in nurseries and a pre-school.

We'll initially discuss what you are looking for from tutoring, and I can build a plan to suit your needs. Everyone has a different approach to learning and I'd love to figure out what works for you.
A lesson might start for example by chatting about any specific topics you've been struggling with so we have a focus for the session. I would ask some questions to see where your understanding is at, and I will work with you to break concepts down. I would work through relevant problems with you to build up understanding and confidence.
If specific exams are a focus, I can coach you through past papers, and help out with exam technique.
I am happy to plan the length of lessons around your preferences.
Any age/level up to GCSE and equivalent.
