About Caron
Hello, my name is Caron Rhodes. I am a Prestwich, Manchester based pianist with over 40 years experience playing the piano, and 15 years as a piano tutor teaching both children and adults. Pupils not only enjoy their lessons, but make good progress whilst enjoying the therapeutic benefits and pleasure that music brings. Over the years I have had excellent feedback from pupils and parents who often recommend me. I have a friendly and patient approach to teaching which puts the most shy or nervous pupil at their ease. I believe that we learn and absorb information more effectively if we are happy and at ease. I teach on a one-to-one basis in my home or, if preferred, online via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

Lessons are in a friendly and relaxed environment in my home. Because of my love of music I am enthusiastic about teaching, and also very patient with beginners. I believe that learning an instrument should be enjoyable, whilst at the same time receiving thorough instruction to enable pupils to reach their musical goals. I teach both children (from age 5) and adults of any age. Parents are very welcome to stay with their child during the lesson. I follow the ABRSM syllabus, and pupils may learn for fun or prepare for exams if they wish. Pupils receive thorough tuition in reading music, playing scales, exercises, piano pieces and music theory. Printable flash cards for learning music notation, and musical information charts are available for new pupils which I can send via email. I provide half hour lessons or one hour lessons if required. The first lesson is free and is an introductory trial lesson lasting for 30 minutes. This enables you to decide whether you are happy with your lesson and wish to continue.
