About Stephen
I am classically trained and have been teaching in schools and at my home for thirteen years. I hold ABRSM piano exam passes to Grade 8. I also hold the ARSM level 4 Diploma in music performance, and the EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association) Cert PTC certificate with Merit in Piano Teaching.

My focus is to help students 'enjoy' the process of learning to play the piano, because I believe we are more likely to learn when we feel happy and relaxed. I have a nice light and spacious studio set in my garden which is warm and comfortable and overlooks a large pond. Parents are welcome to sit in on the lesson if they wish. I teach classical piano and improvisation, which encompasses a huge range of music from the baroque period through to the modern era. I generally offer lessons of 30 minutes, to 1 hour, but am happy to offer 20 minute sessions for the very young. 1 hour is £40 30 Minutes is £20 20 minutes is £13.50
