About Piers
- What kind of experience do you have?
I'm a professional musician and have been teaching children and adults for the past 10 years. I was a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral for 4 years becoming head chorister in my final year and then went on to be the top music scholar at Bradfield and then Bedales. I gig regularly in London weekly and have toured throughout the U.K Europe, South Africa and Japan.

30 year old composer. Classically trained at Salisbury Cathedral becoming Head Chorister in my final year. Originally a cellist before finding my way into writing and composition through the piano. Currently writing my debut classical piano album.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Piano & Singing classically for grades and for fun also covering 'Pop' 'Soul and 'Blues'. I also teach Composition, Music Theory and Beginner Guitar
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music) with a Professional Diploma in Songwriting in 2008 and passed my grade 8 singing and piano when I was 12 in 1999.
- How much do you charge?
£55 an hour including time/travel out to students homes
- Where do you teach?
I travel out to students homes covering South, South - West and West London.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Grades 1 - 8 and beyond. I also prepare students for music scholarship auditions, school performances and competitions.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Teaching is all about the individual. I vary my methods to suit each pupil. Some work best visually while others prefer a more practical approach. I try and make learning as fun, interesting and diverse as possible whether preparing for exams or learning for fun.
