About Patricia
I've been teaching middle school and high school for 11 yrs and at the college level for 13 yrs and I've taught students with a range of reading struggles, to increase reading comprehension, whether a regular ed student or ESL student. In addition, I've also helped students with their writing skills since writing is very dependent on reading. Strong reading and writing skills are a major factor in college success no matter the subject major. I believe that I'm great at this after examining my own reading struggles as a teenager. My greatest achievement was to supplement my own son's middle/high school lessons with my own tutoring. He graduated with a 4.2 gpa and received a full-ride academic scholarship to a senior military university majoring in psychology.

I'm experienced in increasing reading scores with the MAP test. I'm an endorsed Reading Teacher who can help students with reading struggles, and develop a plan to increase comprehension. I've also developed sound test taking strategies to help students pass formative tests and quizzes.
