I approach students first by determining what their current level is within the subject and what the goals are for the course. From there we are able to see what steps we need to take moving forward to ensure they meet the course goals and are learning the course objectives and meeting the grading criteria outlined in the syllabus.
I believe in teaching students in various ways because not every student learns the same way. Finding what method a student learns best is crucial to understanding the material and succeeding in academics.
