About Kirsten
I love to teach chemistry! I fell in love with teaching during my PhD where I started teaching in the undergraduate laboratories - the joy it brings when you see the growth in students it’s just amazing! I then moved to teaching undergraduate tutorials where we have chemistry questions the students try on their own and then we go through in the session - it’s so nice to see when a student who wasn’t quite sure understands what to now do!

I use examples to see how we can apply existing knowledge to new questions. If we get stuck I will always break things back down to what we do know and see if we can get there. I will also run through example questions and show how we can ensure we understand what an exam question is actually after
