I strongly promote the idea that in a good system both teaching needs to be tuned to support high level learning. For this reason I always tried to put into practice a ‘Constructive Alignment’ approach, where the teacher is considered a ‘catalyst’ for learning whilst the teaching and assessment methods are ‘aligned’ with the intended learning outcomes.
I have always exploited the top-quality research I have been producing and what I have learned from the constant updates offered by literature, bringing into my teaching most timely theories and experimental results, where appropriate.
I am a very keen and compassionate teacher as I know that this greatly helps in building a trusty and solid relationship with them. This is particularly important in guiding and supporting the students when they work to deliver a design project, for instance.
Furthermore, I strongly believe that my good communication, listening and understanding skills have always helped me in interacting, guiding and supporting the students. This was reflected in the very positive feedback I received from both students and colleagues.
I am a Chemical/Materials Engineer with an International PhD degree. I currently work as a Researcher at the Polymer Interdisciplinary Research Centre.
I have vast experience in teaching. I have been delivering private lessons and tutoring to High school and College students and lecturing at Undergraduate and Post-graduate levels.
