About Natalie
Hi, I'm Natalie, a PhD qualified health researcher and current research associate based in the North of England.
I specialise in supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students with dissertations, research methods and qualitative analysis. I understand how overwhelming these stages can feel, I've been there. I aim to provide clear, supportive and practical guidance tailored to your needs.
My background is in health psychology, with particular expertise in mental health and research in sensitive settings including custody environments.
I am friendly, patient and used to teaching complex ideas in a practical way.

My lessons are tailored to your specific needs, whether you're just writing your dissertation or feeling stuck part-way through. Similarly, if you are stuck on some of the core modules in Psychology, I can help!
In our first session, we'll go through where you're at, identify any challenges and agree a clear plan of action so you can leave with a better sense of direction.
I take a practical and supportive approach, breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps. I can guide you through:
Structuring your dissertation
Understanding key psychological theory
Understanding research methods (predominantly qualitative)
Conducting thematic analysis
Using NVivo for coding and organising data
Improving clarity and critical writing
Sessions will be interactive and paced to suit you. Please always ask questions and bring your own work to discuss.
I aim to create a relaxed, non-judgemental space, especially if you are feeling overwhelmed - I have been there!
I can offer one-off sessions or ongoing support - whatever you need.
