Evidence-based, learner-centred approach drawing from formal medical education training in different styles as well as my own experience. I enjoy cultivating a genuine interest in the subject matter and sharing a meaningful understanding to underpin what is often exam-focused learning.
I have experience in many different forms of entrance examinations and medical examinations and originally studied graduate-entry medicine myself.
Now qualified, I have a range of experience of different teaching styles in medical education. I have previously tutored undergraduate medical students for specialty-specific undergraduate examinations and practical examinations including 'OSCEs'.
I have extensive experience with teaching for medical examinations, and teach medical students as part of my day-to-day role. I recently undertook the 'Designing for Learning and Teaching' medical education course at the University of Oxford and have conducted medical education research, as well as training and experience in other aspects of medical education including module facilitation and simulation and admissions processes including admissions interviews.
