About Amarachi
My experience of teaching Physics came when the opportunity to prepare a group of teenagers for the A level GCE examinations in Nigeria. It was a 6 month intensive period for the students and me. I prepared the study plans for delivering the lessons and structured each topic into theory, calculation, and practical application sections. In combination with video clips and other educational visual aids, this approach was adopted to ensure that all the major areas were covered in the learning process. This resulted in the students being actively involved and challenging themselves with the knowledge that each lesson period was integrated with calculations and a practical aspect.The hard work paid off and I was proud that 90% of them passed with an A.

A positive, enthusiastic and calm Physics graduate with over 3 years experience in tutoring and a genuine interest in students. My time as a postgraduate student at Swansea University gave me the opportunity to gain sufficient academic exposure through active research, seminar delivery, weekly coursework submission, and laboratory participation to engage in tutoring. I teach college and secondary school students Physics and Maths. The lessons are structured in 60 mins time slot.
The first 5 mins are to introduce and state what the student seeks to gain from the lesson.
The next 30 mins involve the integrated delivery of the lesson plan according to the student's curriculum.
Then 10 mins are used to engage in written, verbal and visual exercises.
the Final 15mins is used for general revision and my legendary two-way feedback.
I am very patient and calm, always willing to help and I love to see students express their own ideas towards a subject area even if it doesn't conform to the existing rules of practice.

My rate for an hour in Swansea is £20, if I had to travel outside Swansea it is £30 and I offer my first lesson for free to all students.
