About Shion
[Background and Experience] Hello, my name is Shion. I am currently based in Osaka. I have over 5 years of practical experience working in a company, and I have a track record of teaching various students as a technical instructor for engineers and as a Shorinji Kempo instructor. I also hold the Japanese national qualification of "Real Estate Transaction Specialist (Takken)". [Strengths as a Second Language Learner] I myself have seriously committed to learning English and have achieved a TOEIC score of 875 and an IELTS score of 7.5. Because I understand from my own experience the difficulties and stumbling blocks that one faces when learning a foreign language from scratch, I can provide caring and effective support from the student's perspective. [Message] My hobbies are traveling, trying different foods, and cultural exchange. I strive to create a sincere and relaxed atmosphere. [Teaching Philosophy and Techniques] Lessons are completely customized to the student's goals and level. Having personally experienced the difficulties of learning a second language (TOEIC 875, IELTS 7.5) myself, I deeply understand the points where learners tend to stumble. For beginners who do not understand Japanese at all, I will explain things clearly, incorporating English. [Lesson Content and Target Audience] In addition to practicing everyday conversation, I can also teach specialized terminology in the IT and real estate fields, as well as business Japanese, utilizing my experience as an engineer providing technical guidance and my real estate agent license. Based on my experience working at a Japanese company for more than 5 years, I will provide practical support, from polite language and business emails to interview preparation that can be used in the workplace. [Lesson Format] In addition to online lessons, I also offer in-person lessons at cafes and other locations in the Osaka area.
