About Josh
I’ve played guitar since I was 13, throughout which time I’ve learnt and explored the many mysteries of music. Writing music was a vocation of mine from an early age, yet I never had a shortcut. Therefore, I am offering all that I have learnt in my new class for all ages and levels.
My background is in the arts, with GCSEs and alevels in drama and performance, where teaching one another is a key skill. I have also studied ethics and religious studies and have applied these in my own songwriting. Currently I am studying a music production degree in Leeds.

I find that (to paraphrase Aristotle) ‘doing’ is the best way of learning. I structure my sessions around an hour slot, in which half an hour is used teaching and half an hour is experimenting with the topic, in which time I will offer advice and feedback.
I start my course at a beginner level and build up from there, giving each student an equal opportunity to learn.
