I prefer to teach on a one to one basis. I have a first meeting with the student to identify their needs and discuss their expectations from the lesson in order to set up a lesson plan and a teaching method that will enable the pupil to reach his/her goals. I accordingly prepare for my lessons in advance to structure my lesson in accordance with the plan. I focus on topics within the syllabus that the student requires most help in by utilising a teaching method that will maximise the students ability to apply his/her knowledge.
