About Teresa
I am an experienced primary school teacher with over 20 years in the classroom and a specialist interest in literacy difficulties and dyslexia. I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). I am passionate about helping children who find reading, spelling and writing challenging. I believe every child can succeed when teaching is adapted to how they learn, and I enjoy helping children build confidence and see themselves as capable learners.

My lessons are structured, supportive and carefully adapted to the learner in front of me. I specialise in literacy, with a strong understanding of dyslexia and the barriers some children face with reading, spelling and writing. I use explicit, step-by-step teaching, overlearning and practical resources to build skills securely and boost confidence. With over 20 years of primary teaching experience, I know how to identify gaps, reduce frustration and help children experience success. Lessons are calm, encouraging and focused on genuine progress.
