About Charlotte

Helping young children discover the joy of reading and writing is at the heart of everything I do. I have a deep passion for early literacy and a strong belief that the foundational skills—reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, and phonics—are not only essential for academic success but also for building confidence and curiosity in young learners. My approach is nurturing, structured, and tailored to each child’s individual needs and pace. I create a warm and encouraging environment where children feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and celebrate progress. I use evidence-based methods to teach phonics and spelling, and I place a strong emphasis on developing fine motor skills through engaging handwriting practice. Whether it's sounding out their first words or writing their first sentences, I love watching children gain independence and pride in their abilities. I aim to spark a lifelong love of learning by making early literacy fun, meaningful, and achievable for every child.
