About Chantal
Hi, I'm Chantal!
I completed the IB Diploma with 40/45 (a 97 ATAR equivalent) and was named a New Zealand IB Top Scholar, and a Senior Scholar at my high school. I now study Law and International Relations at Monash University and am a part-time tutor teaching kids in years 2-9.
Because I went through all the IB programs myself, I know how each program works and how to prepare PYP/MYP students for their assessments, and eventually the step up to the Diploma.

Middle Years Programme:
MYP is marked against criteria, so I teach students exactly what each criterion asks for and how to reach the top bands. Lessons follow the student's current unit. We break the task down, plan it together and build the skills it needs, such as analysis, structured writing, using evidence and reflection. I also help students get organised and build good study habits.
Primary / Primary Years Programme:
I keep lessons calm, fun and structured. Each one starts with a quick check of what your child already knows. Then I teach one skill clearly, we practise it together, and your child finishes with a short task on their own. I use games, visuals and real-life examples to keep them engaged, and I adjust my pace to suit each child. For PYP students, I also support inquiry units and projects.
