About Lara
I am a former research psychologist with a background in childhood attachment, development and cognition, who upped and went to Australia to be a live-in nanny and discovered a love of learning alongside little ones. With 4 years' teaching experience (3 years in Reception year), both in class and private tutoring, I am available to take on 1 or 2 students in London for private mid- long-term daily tuition.

As an early years specialist and a developmental psychologist I understand that children learn through play - actively interacting with their environment, problem-solving and experiencing the world around them. Learning should be engaging and fun, and topics should be linked together to best help make sense of the world. So, when we're baking, we're learning about maths and science, and when we're painting, we're using language to describe and instruct.
Children learn through quality interaction, support and nurture, and this is what I strive to provide.
