About Amanda
I am an experienced Primary teacher (12 years) specialising in the primary curriculum and would love to help young children catch up with Phonics, Reading and Writing and Mathematics learning. I have taught all subjects and received outstanding end of Key Stage results. I have led Literacy across the school as well as leading assessment, and I therefore have a thorough understanding of how children learn best.

I think that children learn best through fun, relatable learning experiences, and I enjoy teaching through stories and themes to immerse children in learning. I love helping to give each child the confidence they need to try hard, make mistakes, and learn from them. I personalise learning to match each child’s needs and use their responses and feedback to inform future lessons. Teaching is my passion and allowing children to learn in an exciting way is so important for them to really grasp new concepts. When restrictions ease, I would happily travel to children’s homes so please drop me as message to get a plan together.
