About Kelli
As a passionate educator, my goal is to inspire confidence in every student I work with. With a wealth of life experiences, including teaching abroad and raising my own children across different school levels, I understand how kids click. I have supported students with reading disabilities, conducted private early childhood programs, tutored primary French, and led baby music classes.
With an Undergrad and Masters Degree in Special Education, I have a solid educational background. I've worked as both an early childhood special education teacher and a private teacher for children with unique learning needs in France and Hong Kong. These experiences have honed my expertise in catering to diverse learning styles and individualized instruction.
Outside of tutoring, my happiness stems from the joy of raising my hilarious 4 children, playing in a band with my husband, exploring the world through travel, and adventuring through Michigan, from the vibrant spots in Detroit to peaceful hiking and camping excursions Up North.
By combining my passion for education, extensive experience, and commitment to personalized instruction, I am dedicated to creating a positive and professional learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

I specialize in tutoring kids aged 2-10 and have worked in public school, as a homeschool teacher, and as a tutor in the US, France, and Hong Kong. With over 30 years of experience working closely with children of all abilities, it is my passion to support student learning of all levels. I'm known for my creativity, problem-solving skills, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and joyful approach. In addition to academic subjects, I often incorporate music and crafts into my tutoring sessions.
I understand that every student is unique. After a consultation, I will create a personalized plan specifically tailored to your student's needs and learning style. I believe in providing an engaging and effective learning experience that is customized to bring out the best in each student.
