About Paf
I am 22 years old, I was born in Mexico City where I grew up and began to develop my passion for music. I started to learn how to play the drums early in my life at the age of 7, taking private lessons for 11 years, and through the years shaped my sound according to the music I listened to until I turned 18 and left my home to study a Certificate in Popular Music Performance at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California. There, I was exposed to a wider range of musical genres and formal education and training that expanded my views about the drum kit and music in general. When I started studying at ICMP, I quickly discovered that this experience was not only going to guide my practice as a musician, but also give me new tools for learning and reflecting to gain insight through my own practice and experience, and these are tools that I would love to share with new generations.
