About Julie
I am a Pilates instructor and movement educator with a background in somatic movement and dance. I have been teaching for 11 years. I hold honours degrees in Contemporary Dance and Psychology and graduated as a Certified Movement Analyst from the Laban Bartenieff Institute in New York. I trained as a Pilates matwork instructor with Brigid McCarthy Pilates Studio in Edinburgh, including remedial matwork and small equipment.

My teaching style is influenced by my experience of body-mind practices, psychology and somatic movement. I adopt unique approaches suitable for each individual client, their body, their wants and needs. I consider the whole person, not just the physical body when dealing with clients and my approach is therefore beneficial for a wide range of issues. The first session will include a postural assessment which will help inform the work we do.
