About Alissa
I am a professional actor and singer with experience singing in various styles such as classical, musical theatre, jazz, and folk/pop. With a classical and musical theatre background, I have learned techniques that support various styles of singing.
I have taught acting through song masterclasses and vocal workshops at universities such as Imperial College London and Ravensbourne University London, as well as at the Westchester Music Conservatory.

I have a BA in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in classical voice and an MA in Musical Theatre, which allows me to approach individuals with various techniques and methods that best suit their voice type. The goal in my teaching is not to sound like someone else but to find YOUR sound, which should be natural, healthy, and supported.
I teach all ages and levels; I believe that anyone can sing!
A typical hour-long lesson involves a 15 minute warm up including exercises that will help establish and extend your range and build technique to support your voice. We will then work on repertoire that encourages and promotes growth and overall musicality.
