About Jelena
From an early age, I was interested in art and beauty. I drew everything around myself with pencils, gradually moving to draw main characters from my favorite cartoons. I wanted to expand my knowledge of art as I got older, and I ended up in Art School. Many of the ideas for my paintings come from my dreams, life, everyday objects, people, experience. My medium of choice are acrylic, pastel and watercolor.
I also love to make crafts from paper. Using a variety of colours, I use the quilled strips to construct imagery and type to achieve the effect, which has a unique, 3D tactile charm to it.
Five years ago I discovered gorgeously versatile papercraft material - crepe paper. I teach how to makes realistic crepe paper flowers and crepe paper flower arrangements.
I received professional education to be an interior designer and worked in one of the most prestigious studios in Riga - Alma Mater. I also gained a bachelor's degree in business. In 2008, I decided to emigrate from my home country, landing in Northern Ireland.
I was taking commission work for paintings and drawings, as well as participated in numerous exhibitions. I have been working as an art teacher for 3 years to children and adults.

I teach how to paint using acrylics and how to draw using pastels.
Lenght of a lesson is 1hr. If we create art object/project or famous painting copy, lesson is 90 minutes - 2 hrs.
