About Adelaide
Adelaide is a professional ballet dancer and Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher based in the UK. Born and raised in the USA, she trained at the prestigious Boston Ballet School before joining Milwaukee Ballet II and later dancing with Ballet West. She has performed a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire, including lead roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and works by the Balanchine Trust. In England, she danced with English National Ballet, performing in Royal Albert Hall, and continues her professional career across the UK. Adelaide holds dual Honours degrees from the University of Utah — a BFA in Ballet (Honours) and a BA in English (Honours) — and was recently awarded a Master’s degree with high distinction in Literature & Art from the University of Oxford. Internationally, she became the first foreign dancer to be hired by the National Ballet of the Dominican Republic and taught in Spanish at the National School of the Arts, covering ballet, contemporary, and jazz. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Adelaide has taught ballet internationally in both English and Spanish — including at Ballet West Academy, Boston Ballet School, the National School of the Arts (DR), and institutions across England. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher and holds the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, having trained to the highest standards of dance education and student safety. This enables her to register students of all ages, including adult learners, for official RAD ballet examinations. Adelaide is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher and Pilates Mat and Reformer certified, and regularly furthers her professional development through CPD courses with the Royal Academy of Dance, Royal Ballet School, and Central School of Ballet.

I believe that ballet is for everyone, at any age or stage. My classes are individually tailored to support each dancer’s unique goals — whether you're a complete beginner, returning to ballet, preparing for an exam or audition, or simply looking to deepen your technique. With over 15 years of teaching experience (including 6+ years online) and a professional ballet career across England, the USA, and Latin America, I bring international experience and insight to every session. I teach a traditional ballet class with a detailed, personalised approach that nurtures both technical skill and self-confidence. My teaching embraces a holistic mindset — supporting not just the dancer, but the whole person — helping students grow as performers and individuals. I also offer all levels of pointe work training, as well as contemporary and jazz techniques, and optional conditioning sessions to build strength and prevent injury. Students of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. For young children, classes are creative and story-driven; for dancers in training, they are rigorous and focused; and for adult beginners or returners, they are flexible, encouraging, and deeply rewarding.
