About Flo
I have travelled around the world as a DJ, performing in some of the most renowned clubs internationally. As an open-format DJ, I specialise in baile funk, jersey club, hip hop, pop, and EDM. Teaching as Flo, I support students across all genres, helping them build strong technical skills, musical confidence, and a clear creative identity through professional, real-world DJ experience.

My approach to tutoring is practical, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual goals. I focus on helping students understand not only how to DJ, but why techniques work, so they can build confidence and develop their own style rather than relying on presets or copying routines.
My teaching methodology is hands-on and structured. Lessons cover core DJ skills such as beatmatching, mixing, transitions, EQ control, effects, and music preparation using industry-standard DJ equipment and software. I also introduce creative and performance-based elements including track selection, energy flow, and reading a crowd, using real-world examples from club and event environments. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s pace and learning style.
A typical lesson can last from 1-2 hrs, allowing time for explanation, guided practice, and constructive feedback. Longer sessions can be arranged for students who want more in-depth practice or focused preparation for live performances.
Lessons are suitable for absolute beginners and early intermediate DJs, generally aged 16 and above. They are ideal for anyone wanting to start DJing from scratch, improve their mixing skills, or gain confidence preparing and performing their first live sets.
