About Alexa
I have been a dancer for almost 15 years, primarily focused on classical ballet, contemporary, and jazz dance. I have traveled to Europe to attend training programs at the Paris Opera Ballet and Prague Masterclasses. I have 2 silver medals with the Youth American Grand Prix achieved when I graduated the Royal Academy of Dance with distinction. The awards and degrees establish my resume, but they do not speak on the passion I have for dance and teaching, which I believe trumps it all. Dance is an outlet for every moving being. By teaching dance to all ages, I am able to spread the joy of dance and music which feeds the soul.

My lessons are unique to each dancer based on their age, skill level, and motivation. (All ages and skill levels welcome)
The general layout of my lessons start with a warm-up to get the body stretched and prepared for activity. I then teach technical aspects of the genre of dance selected, then teach choreography for the dancer to practice or record for feedback.
I am also offering training in choreography , where the lesson is primarily concentrated on finding the dancers creativity and delivering their mind-body connection.
Additionally, I am trained in rehearsing and "cleaning" dance routines in preparation for competing or performing.
If ballet is selected, we do our "warm-up" at the barre, then move into the center for adagio, center practice, allegro, and pointe work if applicable.
With my degree in Classical Ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance in London achieved at 16 years old, I am able to offer elite technical and artistic training that many cannot.
With 10 years of experience competing in international competitions, I am able to offer award-winning coaching focused in areas such as contemporary, jazz, and choreography for my students.
