About Leah A
I am a professional dancer and teacher specialized in hip hop styles, contemporary and commercial dance. My career has taken me to develop and perform pieces with several dance companies in the UK, Amsterdam and Spain as well as working in dance theater projects, music videos and film. More recently, I have also had the opportunity to work with other artists as a choreographer and movement director for several music videos.
I started teaching very early on in my career as a dancer and I have had the opportunity to teach students from very different levels and backgrounds, both in the UK (including at Danceworks (London) and Street Dance Academy (London) and across different cities in Europe. I focus my teaching on Hip Hop and street dance styles, commercial dance and contemporary.
I have a teaching diploma in Hip Hop styles.

When teaching, I have a dynamic approach where movers work on rhythm, musicality and different techniques through choreography, developing their ability to present it and perform as well as through drills and freestyle exercises, depending on their goals and strengths. I adapt my classes to each specific movement, style and level. I like to create an open environment where students feel comfortable and can express themselves, push their limits and grow.
I can teach either in English or in Spanish to individuals or a group.
