About Ella
My name is Ella Posti, and I’m a 28-year-old professional dancer and choreographer from Finland, currently based in London. I hold both a BA and an MA in Dance from the London Contemporary Dance School. While my foundation is in contemporary dance, my training and career have exposed me to a wide range of ballroom styles as well. Alongside my performance work, I also teach and choreograph, which led me to begin offering wedding dance lessons. It started when friends asked me to create their First Dance, and I quickly realised how much I enjoyed the process and wanted to do more of it.

I'm offering classes for beginner and intermediate level students. We can either do them at my flat in our spacious living room or at your place if you have the space. Before we begin, I offer a free 30min consultation where you can share your ideas for the dance — including style, music, length, and the overall vibe you want — as well as your previous dance experience. If we decide to move forward, we’ll create a personalised lesson schedule together. I usually recommend around 4-5 sessions before your wedding day. I'm using basics from waltz, swing, salsa and tango when creating the routines, of course keeping in mind your wishes. I have been teaching wedding dance lessons for the past year alongside my career as a performer. I love it. It's special to me getting to be part of a big event in a couple's life. For me it's really important that my students feel comfortable and supported during rehearsals as well as on the big day. I'm encouraging and pushing you during the sessions depending on what you need on the day.
