About Daniel
I have been teaching online for 7 years and have over 3000 hours experience with 200+ students of different level and nationality.
I have also been an English teacher in China and South Korea.
At the moment I am building a straw bale house in France with my wife.This may be unrelated, but perhaps demonstrates my enthusiasm for life which I hope can help you progress with me. I guarantee you will find my teaching style, as well as lifestyle, creates a rich learning environment.

Hello and welcome to Superprof,
Perhaps this is your first time and the thought of talking with an online teacher is a little strange. If so, don’t worry, it’s a wonderful way to communicate.
Or perhaps you are familiar with Skype lessons and are looking for a new teacher. I hope my engaging and innovative classes will help you achieve your goals.
I offer 4 kinds of lesson:
1. Unique, structured English lessons
These classes are based on an unusual or thought provoking story. During these classes we will practice the whole range of English skills. Before the class I will send an email with materials for the class and a video to watch before we start. You will learn new vocabulary, read for gist (general meaning) and specific information then move towards a discussion, debate or role play and use the new vocabulary to discuss the topic confidently and naturally. I will always encourage you to express yourself while at the same time occasionally pointing out any common mistakes or important grammar points.
2. CAE, CPE and IELTS speaking practice
During these 1-hour classes we will do 2 mock (or practice) exams. I will also give feedback about where you could improve, give you tips about keeping within time limits and things the examiner will be looking for.
3. Current affairs discussion classes
During these 1-hour long classes we will discuss several current affairs topics from around the world.
4. Proof-reading / writing classes
These classes will help you to write more concisely, fluidly and accurately. Students normally send me writing before the class then, during the class, using GoogleDocs, we look at the suggestions I have made and make any other appropriate changes. All of the writing is stored on GoogleDocs to keep a record of all the writing you do.
