About John
I have earned a successful living for over 50 years with the English language. Writing skills include TV scripts, advertising copy, two books, news/current affairs stories, magazine editor. Very capable public speaker.
Yes ... I am a grammar nerd ... but, this means you don't have to be! I recently worked for 5 years in China as an ESL and Business English Teacher and IELTS and PTE Tutor. I have continued since returning to Melbourne with remarkable success. I also teach ESL for several American relocation companies and count Ford, General Motors, Chrysler-Jeep, Volvo, Johnson & Johnson, Isuzu, Amazon, and BHP among my clients.
I am constantly researching, designing and testing better ways to learn languages, especially English.
My focus is on my students and achieving the results they want.

Teaching a course out of a book is seldom the way to achieve your desired results. Before we commence your course, I will determine exactly what you require and then tailor a course to address these requirements. I use technology extensively to assist in lessons and to ensure excellent review and retention. My experience since 2019 has clearly shown that there is no difference, in results, between personal and online classes.
