About Abayomi
I’m Abayomi Shogbade, a visual artist, photographer, and art director with over 10 years of experience behind the camera. My practice blends technical precision with creative storytelling, drawing on years of professional work across portrait, fashion, and fine art photography. As an educator, I’m passionate about helping others understand not just how to take great photos, but why certain choices in lighting, composition, and editing create powerful visual stories. I teach the basics of photography, lighting techniques, and retouching workflows, guiding students from foundational camera skills to refined post-production. Whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time or looking to improve your creative direction, my goal is to help you develop both confidence and vision, so your images speak with intention and artistry.

My classes are classified into three categories. 1) Basics of photography - here you learn the introductory part of photography. 2) Lighting in photography- types of lighting, natural and the use of strobes and modifiers 3) Retouching: majorly post-production where you learn skin retouch, colour correction and colour grading.
