I have linked in with many universities around South Wales helping students develop linguistic capacities and comprehension skills. By speech and articulation I would help them pronounce sounds and words clearly and fluently as well as learning to express and write their own dissertations.
I am an energetic and friendly Teacher who always encourages my students to be relaxed, speak confidently in class and enjoy learning new skills, whether language or music based. I am a 2009 Graduate from Newport University, with a 2:1 Degree in Fine Art. My Degree encompassed painting, video installation, film and performance. I lived and worked as an English Teacher in mainland China (Chengdu) for over 2 years. I also have a registered TEFL certificate. I am an experienced Creative Arts Practitioner teaching Beatboxing (a form of rhythmical vocalisation where you make drum patterns with your voice), African Body-Percussion (a form of dance, also called 'Step-Dance' where individuals and groups perform dances creating percussive beats through stamping the floor and using their body as a drum-kit) and Drama. I have recently begun to teach the skill of using a Loop-machine, and this exciting new method of creating music is well liked by young people as it incorporates beatboxing, singing, rap, harmonies, volume dynamics, vocalization, technical and performance skills and the confidence to perform original ideas.

Funded by Arts International Wales my colleague and I were given the opportunity to collaborate with an NGO organisation to provide artistic workshops to young Chinese children who had been affected by the Sichuan earthquake in 2010. We had fifty children per class, I taught Beatboxing and Step Dance and assisted with the choreography of the final piece. My colleague taught singing and drama.
