About Penelope
Hi! I'm Penelope, a passionate Mandarin tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Master's degree from The Australian National University (ANU).
Teaching Chinese is more than my profession—it's something I genuinely enjoy. I believe the best way to learn a language is through meaningful communication, not endless memorization.
Alongside teaching, I work as a Business Analyst in Australia's mining industry, collaborating with Chinese companies, translating corporate reports, and interpreting during business meetings. This gives me unique insight into both professional and everyday Chinese, allowing me to help students communicate naturally in real-life situations.
