About Atena
My name is Atena Karimi, and I am a PhD in Persian Language and Literature. I have over three years of experience teaching Persian to students from all over the world, including China, the US, the UK, and Germany. I love helping learners explore the beauty of Persian literature and language, from classic poets like Rumi and Khayyam to contemporary texts. My teaching style is engaging, patient, and tailored to each student’s needs. In just 4 or 5 sessions you can learn the Persian alphabet. I teach both formal and informal Persian. Formal for reading and informal for conversation.
I use a variety of materials, including short stories, non-fiction, dialogues, and simple poems. and these materials come with a lot of exercises and questions to enhance your learning. I break down grammar in practical ways that are easy to remember and apply.
For learners at an intermediate level or above, we can explore masterpieces by poets like Sa'di, Hafez, Khayyam and Ferdowsi.
My Ph.D. research focused on Rumi's works. So, I especially enjoy reading Rumi's poetry with my students.
I look forward to seeing you in my classes.
I focus on creating a friendly and motivating environment, providing extra resources, and personalized feedback after each lesson.
