A Professional photographer with a robust technical background in studio operations, lighting, analogue and digital photography. With over twenty years at the helm of a professional studio, I integrate industry expertise with academic insights to deliver engaging and concept-driven photography lessons. I have lectured, contributed to assessment processes and mentored students towards A-level and degree-level success. I have taught, mentored and supported students at various stages of their development, including lecturing at photography schools, sitting on examination boards, and providing structured studio-based training.
My approach emphasises technical accuracy and critical thinking, while encouraging students to develop creative independence and confidence. I use formative assessment and constructive feedback to support progress over time, and I am confident using Photoshop, Capture One and online learning platforms to support learning and assessment.
