About Brigida

My name is Brigida Lunetta and I am a 26 years old Italian Photographer and Visual Artist, currently based in London. In 2015 I have earned a BA degree in Photography at IED (European Institute of Design) in Turin. In 2016 I moved to London to complete my education with a Master, and in 2018 I graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Master in Fine Art and Photography.

During these years I have worked as a Freelance Photographer covering different roles: Backstage Photographer, Camera Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Photographer, Art and Photography Teacher etc.
Among these working experiences in 2016, I had the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in a Photojournalism workshop led by the Freelance Photojournalist Fabio Bucciarelli at IED (European Institute of Design) in Turin. In that context, I experienced how my interest in Visual Art involves an interest in helping, teaching and supporting young people through collaborative creative activities.

Even if I had different working experience the one that allows me to grow the most professionally and as a Visual Artist has been the teaching experience. I have worked as a private Tutor giving lesson of Photography and Photoshop to young people motivating them to acquire new skills in order to reach their professional/personal and academic goals. In May 2018 I had the opportunity to give an Artist Talk at the Arts University College Bournemouth, followed by a Crits Group and Tutorials sessions with the students of the 2nd year of the Bachelor course in Photography, Fine Art. More recently, during the year 2019/2020 I have taught Photography and Art in Uk primary and secondary school. These experiences have been extremely interesting, rewarding and fulfilling. It was great to have the possibility to share my knowledge and my artistic practice with younger artists and to encourage them to pursue effectively their photographic project. I also had the opportunity to learn a lot from my students, in fact, I believe that the most fascinating characteristic of teaching is to have the change to always something interesting to learn, listen and to research.

Working as a Tutor, I realized how it is important to establish positive and supportive relationships in order to create a stimulating and safe environment in which is possible to openly communicate, learn, and share ideas. I am a friendly and relaxed tutor with a good sense of humour and a strong belief that learning should also be fun. I like to involve my students as much as possible in their own learning, facilitating a two-way interactive process enabling the student to take ownership of their own learning plan and to enjoy the lessons. I like to spend the first session with my students discussing their individual needs and goals, and therefore decide together how to structure their learning plan and objectives. I am a patient and understanding tutor, with a real passion and enthusiasm for the subjects I teach and a strong desire to help my students succeed.
