About Tom
As a professional musician, I regularly perform all across the UK and Europe with bands such as Post Modern Jukebox, Back Chat Brass, Shed 7 and the Renegade Brass Band. I regularly draw upon this experience to help bring depth and vibrancy in students' lessons. My professional experience also has given me an advanced knowledge of brass instruments, meaning I'm able to help students with even the most complex of technical needs on their instrument.

I'm a professional trombone player with over 15 years' experience in education. I teach students of all levels and ages. This includes teaching trombone and trumpet players all the way through to grade 8. As a jazz trombonist, I also teach jazz improvisation. In lessons, I try to give my students a solid structure for development, providing them with clear goals in lessons as well as a weekly practice plan. I try to cater for each individual, adapting lessons to help bring out the best in each of my students. It's very important to me that my students enjoy their lessons and the music that they play within them.
