About Cleary
Cleary has taught hundreds of students to DJ both privately and at schools around Brighton & Hove as a professional peripatetic tutor. Through this work he has helped students of all ages achieve fantastic GCSE results in music, perform at their first live events and gain confidence in their musical abilities.
DJ-ing and Producing dubstep (and adjacent genres) under his alias Kamer for 15+ years, Cleary has performed in places like Tokyo, Boomtown and across the UK. Over this time he’s held nightclub residencies, hosted radio shows (10+ years) and been deeply involved in Brighton’s underground dance music scene.
As a producer, Cleary has experience both self-releasing and working with record labels to release his music on vinyl and digital platforms. His music has been featured in DJ sets around the world, showcased on platforms like Boiler Room and performed at places like Fabric and Glastonbury.
Cleary also works in game audio as a freelance composer & sound designer, having completed an MFA in Videogame Music & Sound Design.

Private, one-to-one vinyl or digital DJ sessions for all ages are tailored to your needs to help you progress quickly.
One-to-one sessions can be conducted online or in person. In person sessions can be at my home studio in Brighton, or at your home (if in Brighton & Hove).
Ideal for beginner or intermediate level individuals.
For Music GCSE Students considering DJing as their performance option, Cleary is trained on the syllabus through his work with schools and is able to help you craft a set that can hit top marks.
Cleary’s fun, tailored sessions are designed to help students of all ages and abilities become confident in key DJ skills like: beat-matching, transitions, importing & exporting music, phrase-matching, scratching, counting beats, bars and phrases,
As well as those core skills, Cleary can help you progress further by covering the best ways to discover & download music, navigate DJ software, use active listening, promote yourself as an artist, get gigs and much more.
Any music genre is welcome. Cleary specialises in dance music like dubstep, garage, techno, drum and bass, jungle and house.
You’ll also get access to a curated DJ starter pack with 200+ songs from a range of genres to practice with between sessions.
