About Ben
I'm a professional viola player freelancing in many of the major orchestras in the UK but I started just where you are, at home with a violin age 7! I have been teaching for the last 10 years in various music services and have finally taken the decision to build my own private studio as I believe I can offer a more personal, individual lesson to my students. I love playing and passing on my knowledge to my students.

With over a decade of teaching and professional playing experience I offer high level musical training for all; from young beginners to seasoned amateurs. Lessons are usually 30 - 60 minutes depending on your level and need. I am a very encouraging and patient teacher who will push you to your best musical aspirations!

Perfect! Ben has a dedicated room for tuition and takes time to explain the details. A natural tutor who knows how to explain both techniques and the music side appropriately for beginners. My daughter really enjoyed her experience

Ben is the conductor of the orchestra that i play in. I am Chair of the group so over the past 3 years i have got to know him very well and consider him a friend as well as part of the orchestra. He has also given lessons to my granddaughter to help improve her sound and expression on the music she is playing. His teaching skills are excellent.
I was struggling to enjoy my viola lessons and changed tutors to Ben. Ben helped put the fun back in playing again and helped me gain confidence and helped me learn lots of new things when I joined an orchestra.
