About Sanchita
I am a professionally trained Kathak dancer with over 20 years of learning experience. I have completed my formal training from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh and Raja Mansingh Tomar Music University, and have performed at various state and national level platforms, including securing 1st rank at Shri Krishna Kala Sangeet Mahotsav, Mathura.
Along with my professional career as a software engineer, I actively continue my journey in Kathak and am passionate about sharing this classical art form through structured and authentic teaching.

I follow a structured and practical approach to teaching Kathak, focusing on strong fundamentals and gradual progression. I start with basics like tatkaar, posture, and hastaks, and then move towards chakkars, rhythm, and expressions (abhinay), so students understand both technique and grace.
Each class includes warm-up, practice of basics, and a small composition to build confidence and consistency. I focus on clarity, repetition, and individual attention so that students don’t just copy steps but actually learn and improve.
My classes are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners, including kids (6+), college students, and adults who want to learn Kathak in a structured and authentic way.
