About Loren
I hold a Ph.D. in the field of Education, Master's Degree in Divergent Learning, and undergrad B.A. in Education. I have worked in the traditional classroom with young students, taught undergrad and grad school courses face to face and online, presented research at local, state, national and international conferences. I am a mom to two grown college grads of my own, lover of all things outdoors and in nature (especially the beach or lake), tennis, volleyball, organic gardening, swimming and water sports, and my two beautiful and loving pups.

As a current college professor/educator, I work to help my students understand more about how they learn best (I.e. what type of learner they are,how they best intake information, etc) then devise tutoring assistance based upon their unique learning style preferences. I enjoy helping students recognize where their strengths lie and incorporate new strategies to scaffold their learning. I am happy to assist with assignments, offer constructive feedback, read their work as well as work with those who are acquiring English as their second language. I implement creativity in my lessons and incorporate student interests when working with them in an effort to be more relatable and personable. Building a working, trusting relationship with my students is key to success. So come on, let's get busy working on your success!
