About Jacob
I am a 23-year-old music graduate, based in Clapham, who has 10 years of live experience, looking for students who are enthusiastic about drums. A couple of years ago I started teaching the drums to some students and found that I had a huge passion for teaching and watching my students progress. I try to make my lessons as fun and engaging as possible and always cater to the students' needs or wants.

Learning an instrument should be fun; therefore I like to teach people the important parts of drumming (ie. technique, rhythm etc.) whilst teaching them to play their favourite songs. A typical lesson would last around an hour. I have three years experience as a drum tutor and over five as a professional. My lessons are for anyone wanting to improve on the drums; whether you are a complete beginner or someone with experience.
The main genres in which I specialise are rock, metal and pop with some of my favourite artists including; Iron Maiden, Nirvana, Megadeth, Deftones.

Perfect! Jacob is a lovely guy and a fantastic drummer, I had a lot of fun learning with him. He's methodical and ensures you have good technique on the go while enjoying putting it into practice playing grooves & learning songs.

Jacob is a great and talented tutor who I originally picked because of his background in rock and metal. After a few months of lessons, I highly recommend Jacob! His experience in live and session playing means he has a lot of tips and tricks. He also has a great way of breaking down complicated rhythms.
I am a total beginner, and Jacob has been a great drum tutor. He immediately related to my passion for music and translated that back into the sessions, making sure it's enjoyable and that I get out of it what I want. I had other introductions to tutors before, and it did not fill me with confidence, so I can highly recommend Jacob after more than 6 months of tutoring with me.
Jacob was a pleasure to work with at the ACM and went above and beyond with regards to all aspects of his degree. Jacob has a natural ability with the kit all of which is supported by strong technique, stylistic awareness and musicality. Jacob is ceratinly a drummer to look out for in the future.
