About Ella
I have devoted 11 years to teaching programming, holding a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. I have mentored students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels—from absolute beginners writing their first programs to advanced learners tackling sophisticated algorithms and software projects. My approach blends conceptual clarity with practical exercises, fostering a balance of technical mastery and creative thinking that makes programming both accessible and intellectually stimulating.
I prioritise a student-centred teaching philosophy that emphasises structured learning, hands-on problem-solving, and active participation. Intermediate learners engage with modular programming, debugging, function design, and small-scale project development. Advanced learners tackle complex algorithm optimisation, software architecture, API integration, and project planning. Personalised feedback, structured exercises, and practical examples ensure steady mastery and skill development for all levels of learners, enhancing their problem-solving and coding confidence.
