About Eli
My passion for programming emerged from curiosity about how logical steps could evolve into meaningful solutions. This inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. Over 10 years of teaching, I have worked with learners of all levels—from beginners writing their first programmes to advanced students designing full-scale software systems. My focus is on helping learners develop both understanding and confidence while nurturing curiosity and problem-solving skill.
I teach with patience, clarity, and engagement, combining stepwise explanations, interactive exercises, and practical projects. I encourage experimentation, independent thinking, and conceptual understanding, ensuring students develop not only coding skill but also analytical reasoning and creativity. Lessons emphasise understanding why code works, building deep comprehension and long-term confidence.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with new programming languages, frameworks, and technological developments. Incorporating real-world examples into lessons ensures relevance and excitement. Watching learners progress from uncertainty to mastery, gaining competence, creativity, and independence, is deeply rewarding. My mission is to help students excel academically, develop strong problem-solving skills, and become confident, curious programmers.

Programming becomes engaging when students understand how logical steps form complete, functioning solutions. My lessons focus on Python, C++, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming, emphasising reasoning, problem decomposition, and practical application over memorisation. I create interactive sessions with guided exercises, mini-projects, and real-world examples that develop technical skill, analytical thinking, and confidence. Students are encouraged to experiment, debug, and explore multiple solutions in a supportive, exploratory environment.
Lessons are customised for each student’s level. Beginners learn syntax, loops, conditions, and basic programmes to build foundational skills. Intermediate students develop modular programming, functions, debugging strategies, and applied problem-solving. Advanced learners tackle complex algorithms, software architecture, optimisation, and project-based applications, preparing for academic challenges, professional development, or personal projects. Each session combines practice, feedback, and conceptual reinforcement for long-term understanding.
Programming lessons cultivate analytical reasoning, structured thinking, and creativity. Students gain confidence in problem-solving and translating ideas into working code. My goal is to guide learners to mastery, fostering independence, curiosity, and competence that extends beyond programming into everyday analytical thinking.
