About Samantha
I have been teaching and tutoring A Level students for over 20 years in a range of educational settings. I am fascinated by the human mind and how our behaviour is shaped. My specialism is in understanding the impacts that our bodies and the environment have on our mental health. I am also part way through my counselling qualification so I am able to see how psychological theory is applied in real life. The links between poor mental health and criminal behaviour are well researched and the two subjects are wonderfully intertwined. I am also passionate about horses and how they can be used within therapeutic practice.

Lessons are typically one hour long and incorporate a range of techniques such as essay deconstruction, exam analysis, card sorts and evaluative skills. The lessons are for students studying the Diploma in Criminology or A Level Psychology. My aim is for lessons to be useful and enjoyable and for students to be able to see how their subject knowledge and skills can be used for exam success and applied to everyday life.
