About Dasha
I am a recent Psychology graduate about to begin an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience with a strong background in teaching at summer schools. I have delivered lessons and lectures to groups of high school students on topics in Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology, using a range of engaging teaching methods including structured lectures, debates and practical workshops. I have excellent practical experience in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, having undertaken two research internships as well as a range of research projects throughout my undergraduate degree.

I give lessons in Psychology to students at the GCSE, A Level and degree level and in Biology and Neuroscience at the GCSE and A Level. My teaching methods are dynamic and varied and always tailored to the student or group of students based on their individual needs and goals. My lessons can include structured teaching, discussion sessions, practical activities (e.g. designing and running psychology experiments), worksheets and assignments (e.g. research reports, essays). There will be a strong focus on exam technique as I will run through past papers and example essays with students, comparing performance to the mark scheme. I make sure to keep students engaged by asking questions, testing their knowledge through fun pop quizzes and showing interesting, relevant videos. I provide interesting extra reading, particularly for older students, to get them comfortable with reading scientific journal articles.
