I approach each topic by focusing on the key elements of the specification that the exam board is looking for. I help with making flashcards to retain information and have an extensive list of useful revision resources that I can offer students, created by myself or that I have found through my own research. I also give excellent exam advice, including exam technique and time management.
I am a recent University of Bristol graduate with honours in Psychology where I received a 2:1. I am currently applying to medical school. I have tutored in Biology A level in the past, where I gained an A, and can offer lessons in this subject and in Psychology in which I got an A*. I can also tutor any of the Science GCSEs and Geography as I also received A*s in these subjects.
Work experience
2020 - Tutoring
I have been frequently tutoring an A level student to help her with her Biology exams. I have been doing this for around 2 months now.
2017 to 2019 – Activ Camps, London
During school holidays I regularly return home to work for this day sports camp. My role in this company is to be a group leader where I am given a group of children aged from 4 to 13 years old and take them to various sports activities. I also ensure that they are eating and having a great day.
2019 – St. Bart’s Hospital and the Royal London Hospital
During the summer of 2019 I completed a total of 3 weeks of work experience across these two hospitals. During this time, I shadowed doctors on the oncology ward at St. Bart’s Hospital and learned the ins and outs of patient care. At the Royal London, I gained experience in a number of specialties, including intensive care, emergency medicine, Paediatrics and surgery. This fueled my passion to study medicine even more, and I learnt a lot on how to interact with patients and provide excellent healthcare.
2018-2019 - Bristol, Clifton
I worked as a nanny for a family in Bristol. This required looking after three children aged 4, 5 and 11. As part of this job, I picked them up from school, made them dinner and helped with homework and other household duties as well as some occasional babysitting.
2017 – Skylark Restaurant, Wandsworth Common
I worked in this restaurant for about 6 months doing part time work for them, including waitressing during the day as well as working at their events in the evenings. I helped to serve many people and so it was vital that I was friendly and approachable. This also gave me experience with working behind a till.
2015 – CAMHS at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey
I spent two weeks at St Peter’s, working alongside Psychotherapist Dan Goldberg and accompanied him to his meetings and consultations with patients. I met with other members of the team including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists. This helped me to develop important social skills. Furthermore, this experience helped me to choose a career pathway and become actively involved in a working environment.
2016 – Beatrix Potter School, Wandsworth
Helped for one week alongside Sarah Webley who aids children struggling academically and observed her lessons. I also participated in class activities and helped the students with their work.
