About Preksha
I am a 20 year old psychology single major student who is in the third year of her bachelors degree at Sophia college (Autonomous), Mumbai. I passed out of Army Public School, Pune with 95.6% through a Humanities background in 2021. I am an empathetic yet firm individual when it comes to teaching. Being actively involved in social work, I have taught students belonging to an underprivileged background, students with intellectual disabilities and even students with a language barrier. I am fluent in English and Hindi and can under Kannada, Tamil and Coorgi.

Learning highly depends on aptitude and interest. However, an underdog in this area is structure and the method used to retain information. Identifying which mode of learning works for you and Consuming information that compliments it can help one understand and remember more efficiently. Having a psychology background and a record of straight A’s in all my subjects in school, I can help make learning not only more effective but more interesting and enjoyable. Some mnemonics(methods to improve learning) that I will be using to teach are story telling for to create a flow, abbreviations for better retention, flow charts and concept maps, active recall, regular test taking to refresh concepts and scheduling for structure among many more..
To me, every child has potential and can excel, provided, we cater to their curiosity and interest.
