About Numaan
I am very passionate about tutoring and the learning process and have been tutoring since I was 12. I tutored ESL students in middle school as part of a volunteer peer tutoring program. In high school I tutored students in essay writing and chemistry. I also tutored and college students at my local community college in writing and grammar.

I believe that teaching is most effective when the student and teacher work together to reach clear and defined goals. As a tutor, I listen to my students' goals and what they want to achieve both in a session, and in the long term. I would start a lesson asking the student what they want to achieve in this session and I'll give my input on how we should proceed. After we work on reaching the student's goal we would end the session on what the student achieved today, what they still need to work on, and where we can go next in future sessions.
